ફિલ્ડમાર્શલ માણેકશા – બાલ ભારતી ટ્રસ્ટ

Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, affectionately known as "Sam Bahadur," was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. His military career spanned four decades and five major wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the prestigious five-star rank of Field Marshal. ફિલ્ડ માર્શલ સેમ માણેકશા, જેઓ "સેમ બહાદુર" તરીકે લોકપ્રિય હતા, ૧૯૭૧ના ભારત-પાકિસ્તાન યુદ્ધ દરમિયાન ભારતીય સેનાના વડા (ચીફ ઓફ આર્મી સ્ટાફ) હતા. આ યુદ્ધમાં તેમના કુશળ નેતૃત્વ હેઠળ ભારતનો ભવ્ય વિજય થયો અને બાંગ્લાદેશનો જન્મ થયો. તેઓ ભારતીય સેનાના પ્રથમ ફાઇવ-સ્ટાર જનરલ અને ફિલ્ડ માર્શલનો સર્વોચ્ચ રેન્ક મેળવનારા પ્રથમ અધિકારી હતા.
